Russian Orthodox parishioner desecrates memorial for children killed by invaders in Zhytomyr Oblast — video
According to the post, an elderly woman approached the banner, began shouting anti-Ukrainian slogans, cutting out the word “Russian” from the banner, and taking away Easter eggs. She then said that there was no place for this near a Russian church.
Reportedly, the woman was encouraged to do so by Russian Orthodox priest “Father Petro Lysosa.”

“He directed his Moscow priests to monitor this,” Popilnya’s territorial defense forces wrote.
“Now you see what kind of person has been living next to you all these years, hiding behind the mask of a priest.”
The banner was said to have been installed the day before by parishioners of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine.
“Toys and Easter eggs from the children of Popilnya were placed there,” the territorial defense explained.
“In the morning, concerned residents of the community began bringing flowers and children’s toys to this wall, commemorating the memory of the innocent victims of the Russian occupiers.”
