He has started raising money for protection, he said in a June 2 Telegram post.

In the wake of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine and its far-reaching repercussions, his security expenses have tripled, Pozdnyakov gripes.

Fearing for his own safety, the propagandist finds himself compelled to reach out to his followers, requesting over 1 million rubles (over $12,000) to sustain his security measures for the next three months.

"I used to pay for all this out of my own pocket until I started to lose money. Now I'm asking you to help," the founder of the misogynistic organization Male State complained.

He now hopes to hide in a "secure residential complex with 24/7 security and video surveillance."

He had previously stated that after Russia's defeat in the war against Ukraine, he intended to commit suicide in order not to be caught by the Security Service of Ukraine.

"I have nothing to lose," Pozdnyakov argued.

“After the defeat, I will have no place to go anymore, only if I hang myself, which, I guess, will happen in the event of such an outcome... If you think that you are just a Telegram blogger and no one will care about you, then you have never been so wrong. You won't be able to [lay low]. In this regard, the SBU will be cooler than (Israel’s) Mossad, on a short footing with all the world's intelligence services, which will literally assist them [at the drop of a hat] and give them all the [dossiers] on everyone.”
