Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said at least two people were killed and eight were injured when a Russian missile struck a residential building in the city of Kramatorsk, Donetsk region, on the night of Wednesday, February 1.

“This is not a repetition of history, this is the daily reality of our country. A country bordering absolute evil,” Zelensky wrote in a statement published on Telegram.

Pavlo Kyrylenko, the head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, said the building was “completely destroyed” and that rescuers were searching for victims who may have been trapped under the rubble.
