Russian Ropucha-class landing ship destroyed in Sevastopol drydock — report
After analyzing photos of the aftermath of a Ukrainian attack on a drydock in Sevastopol, Crimea, open-source intelligence (OSINT) team Oryx has concluded that Ropucha-class landing ship Minsk was destroyed, Oryx said in a Twitter post on Sept. 13.
"Visual confirmation now indicates that the Ropucha-class landing ship Minsk has been destroyed, not merely damaged," the message said.

According to the list of visually-confirmed Russian losses in the war, Moscow has now lost 16 ships and submarines since Feb. 24, 2022. Kilo-class submarine Rostov-on-Don, also present at the drydock, is marked as damaged.
Meanwhile, Ukraine’s official figures indicate that 19 Russian ships and boats have been destroyed by Sept. 12.

Earlier, a photo of Minsk after the attack appeared online. Ukrainian outlet Militarnyi reported the landing ship suffered significant damage — including a portside hole in the superstructure area, which may indicate a cruise missile directly striking the engine compartment.

Earlier on Sept. 13, Russian Defense Ministry said that Ukraine launched ten missiles and three naval drones at Sevastopol Bay, damaging two Black Sea Fleet ships undergoing repairs at the drydock. Moscow claimed that the drones and seven missiles were neutralized, suggesting that at least three missiles reached their targets.
Sky News reported that Ukraine used UK-supplied Storm Shadow air-launched cruise missiles for the attack.
