“Measurements are underway in the villages of Kucherivka, Sinkivka and Petropavlivka, which are closer to the border with Russia,” Synegubov said.

“We continue to monitor the level of pollution.”

Earlier Synegubov highlighted the recent surge in shelling incidents in the oblast. On June 5, he said that within the past 24 hours alone, the enemy had targeted at least 26 settlements, resulting in two fatalities and three injuries.

The official also said there were continuous attempts by Russian forces to send sabotage and reconnaissance groups across the oblast’s northern border.
