“Voznesensk. Russian bastards hit a residential high-rise building. There are victims. The information is being verified,” Pletenchuk wrote.

According to Mykolayiv Regional Governor Vitaliy Kim, Russian shells hit a five-story building and private houses.

As of 1.30 p.m., nine people are reportedly wounded as a result of the attack, including four children who are in serious condition, he said.

“All children are in serious condition. Their age is between three to 17 years old,” Kim said on Facebook.

He added one girl was hospitalized in Mykolayiv as a piece of debris had torn out her eye.

At the same time, the regional rescue service reported the Russian invaders had shelled Mykolayiv Oblast at about 11.30 a.m. on Aug. 20.

One five-story residential building and about five one-story buildings in Voznesensk were damaged as a result of the shelling.

The Russian attack caused damage to structural elements from the first to the fifth floor of the five-story building, as well as the collapse of balconies and broken windows.

A fire also broke out on a balcony on the fifth floor. Firefighters have already extinguished it.

Rescue teams are working at the scene.
