In fact, the soldiers do not want to replace occupation troops killed in Ukraine, Ukrainian intelligence says.

Russian commanders still intend to completely withdraw their troops from the territory of Kazakhstan. They were deployed there to suppress public protests in January against the current Kazakh government.

There are about 1,000 Russian servicemen with weapons and military equipment currently stationed near critical infrastructure facilities, such as airfields, military training grounds, oil depots, and the Baikonur Cosmodrome.
