"Using unmanned aerial vehicles, the enemy has attempted to hit our staff with hand CS gas grenades K-51," the General Staff said.

According to the source, Ukrainian troops in Zaporizhzhia region managed to jam a drone that was carrying a K-51 grenade with a strong chemical agent.

This is a violation of the rules of warfare, it said.

Ukrainian authorities reported another Russian attack with the use of weapons containing chemicals – in the early hours of Oct. 12, Russian troops shelled Nikopol with incendiary ammunition, the head of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast’s Nikopol district administration, Yevhen Yevtushenko, said.

As a result, three people, including a child, were heavily injured.
