Russian troops in Kharkiv Oblast were “thrashed” by advancing Ukrainian forces, intercept shows

“It’s f*cked; what f*cking recapture, do you read the news?” the Russian soldier can be heard saying.

“They are smashing us from close range. They are already in our rear in some places, bypassing our outposts.”
He then said his units struggles with keeping a communications channel open with their superiors, and noted he sees “body-bags upon body-bags,” suggesting a high casualty rate.

The soldier also said Ukrainians have “stolen” six Russian military trucks.
“We’re getting text messages urging us to surrender,” he concluded.
Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhnyi said that Ukrainian forces have liberated over 3,000 square kilometers of land in Kharkiv Oblast since Sept. 1, and are now within 50 kilometers of the Russian border.
Russia’s Defense Ministry acknowledged Moscow’s failure in Kharkiv Oblast, alleging it was instead “regrouping” its forces, aiming to bolster the Donetsk Oblast front.
