The Russian army shelled the town of Selydove in Donetsk Oblast, killing one person and injured at least seven others, including a child, according to a report by the Head of Military Administration on Telegram on Feb. 8.

In a separate attack in Vinnytsia oblast, the wreckage of a downed UAV caused a fire at an infrastructure facility.

Selydove was shelled seven times during the night, causing damage to high-rise buildings, private houses, educational institutions and an administrative building.

According to the Donetsk Oblast Prosecutor's Office, five women, aged 18 to 88, a 51-year-old man, and a 6-year-old boy were wounded and taken to hospital with injuries.

According to police, one of the victims was pulled out of the rubble of a destroyed building by rescuers.

In Vinnytsia Oblast, a fire began at an infrastructure facility after a downed UAV drone crashed into it.

The Head of the Military Administration said that the fire was contained and firefighters are completing cleanup.

No one was injured during the attack.

On Feb. 8, Russian troops launched 17 suicide drones into Ukraine. Air defense shot down 11 of them.

During the attack, explosions were reported in Odesa and Mykolaiv oblasts. Civilian infrastructure was damaged in Odesa, and a private sector building was hit in Mykolaiv.
