Russian wrestling chief issues threats after IOC sets restrictions on Russian athletes at 2024 Olympics

Mamiashvili said he was not satisfied with the "refugee status" that the IOC wants to grant to Russian athletes from the aggressor state at the Paris Olympics.

"I have no other comments on this, except that those who propose this should be sent to one place known to everyone,” Mamiashvili said.

“If they want to see us at the 2024 Olympic Games as a refugee team, then we need to go to Paris in tanks. There is no other option.”

The International Olympic Committee is considering various options to allow athletes from aggressor nations to participate in the Olympic Games.

Earlier, the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine banned Ukrainian athletes from participating in international competitions together with Russians and Belarusians.
