According to Fedorov, military equipment and ships are being hastily moved from the port.

"Occupiers are urgently leaving the Berdyansk port – perhaps the climate was not suitable," Fedorov said.

He added that after the explosion which rocked the port, the Russians began urgently removing ships which they planned to use to export stolen Ukrainian grain. According to Fedorov, the occupiers are exporting grain not only by sea, but also by rail.

In an interview with Svoboda Live, Berdyansk's military administration head Victoria Galitsyna speculated that during the missile strike on the port, the Ukrainian Armed Forces could have hit Russian S-300 air defense systems.

"We cannot say for sure what was damaged, but there is unconfirmed information that these were air defense installations, in particular, the S-300," she said.

On June 2, a powerful explosion occurred in the occupied Berdyansk port. The city has been under Russian control since February 28, 2022.
