Russians launch more than 10 rockets on Kharkiv Oblast from Belgorod, some fail to reach their targets

On the night of 14 August, Russian forces hit the building of an industrial facility in Kharkiv, damaged an infrastructure facility and an industrial plant in Merefa, and carried out an attack on Chuhuiv.

Quote from Terekhov: "At 02:50 [on the night of 14 August], the Slobidskyi district [of Kharkiv] was attacked. An industrial facility was hit. There is no information about casualties or fatalities."

Details: Syniehubov said that Russian forces carried out powerful rocket attacks on the city of Kharkiv and Kharkiv Oblast overnight. Around 03:00, the Defence Staff reported that over 10 missiles were launched from the Russian city of Belgorod. Local journalists reported that 12 explosions rocked  the city of Kharkiv and the Oblast.

In Kharkiv, Russian missiles struck the Slobidskyi district, damaging an industrial facility. There were no casualties.

According to early reports, several missiles hit the city of Merefa, damaging an infrastructure facility and an industrial plant.

Another missile hit the city of Chuhuiv. Law enforcement officers have yet to confirm the details of the attack.

The remaining Russian missiles failed to reach their targets.

Siniehubov said that overall, Russian occupying forces continued to shell the Kharkiv, Chuhuiv, Izium and Bohodukhiv districts of Kharkiv Oblast on 14 August.

According to the Centre for Emergency Medical Assistance, three civilians were hospitalised with injuries over the course of the day: an 83-year-old woman in the Bohodukhiv district, a 29-year-old man in the Izium district, and a 48-year-old woman in the Chuhuiv district.

Several private houses, outbuildings, industrial and infrastructure facilities have been damaged. An educational establishment has been damaged in Zolochiv.

Fighting is continuing on the line of contact. Russian forces are actively deploying tubed and rocket artillery, as well as tanks and aircraft.

Russian troops tried to advance towards Tykhotske-Dolyna, but retreated under fire from Ukrainian defenders, suffering casualties.
