Strike on residential building in Dnipro: 12 killed, including a minor, 73 injured

Twelve people, including a 15-year-old girl, were killed in a Russian missile strike on a multi-storey residential building in Dnipro city on Saturday, and 73 people sustained injuries.

Details: The head of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Military Administration has stated that the youngest of the injured is three years old. A 9-year-old girl is in serious condition.

At 21:54, Reznichenko reported that nine people were killed in the attack on the building, including a 15-year-old girl. 64 people sustained injuries, and 59 of them were taken to hospital. Later, he added that 12 people had been killed.

Kyrylo Tymoshenko specified that as of 21:50, nine people, including one child, were known to have been killed in the missile attack, 64 people had been wounded, including 14 children, and 37 people had been rescued from the building, including six children.

Search and rescue operations are still ongoing.

In turn, Borys Filatov, Mayor of Dnipro, has said that the entire district has been cut off from the power grid and disconnected from utility systems as a result of the strike.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has responded to the strike on the city of Dnipro by stating that everyone involved in this terror will be held fully accountable.

Updated at 00:29. Dnipro City Council reported that 73 people had sustained injuries, including 14 children. Almost everyone who was injured is currently in hospital.
