Russians move equipment and weapons to Bakhmut front - General Staff update

The Russians have moved more than 20 pieces of weapons and military equipment to the Bakhmut front to replenish units that have sustained losses.

Details: There is still a threat of strikes from Belarus on the Volyn and Polissia fronts. The Belarusian Armed Forces’ combat readiness check of its units has been extended until 11 June.

On the Sivershchyna front, Russian forces used artillery to bombard infrastructure near the villages of Starikove and Katerynivka in Sumy Oblast, and of Kamianska Sloboda in Chernihiv Oblast.

The Russians conducted aerial reconnaissance using UAVs in Sumy and Chernihiv oblasts in order to confirm the location of our positions.

On the Kharkiv front, the Russians are focusing their main efforts on holding their positions and preventing further advancement of our troops to the border. They continue to shell our troops positioned near Kharkiv.

The Russian occupiers used phosphorus munitions near the village of Cherkaski Tyshky.

On the Sloviansk front, the Russians have regrouped their forces. Certain units are carrying out an offensive along the Dovhenke – Dolyna and the Brazhkivka – Virnopillia lines.

On the Donetsk front, the enemy has concentrated its main efforts on an offensive intended to encircle Ukrainian forces in the areas of Sievierodonetsk and Lysychansk and to block the main logistics supply routes.

There is a Russian offensive on the Lyman front towards Sviatohirsk, trying to drive Ukrainian troops out to the right bank of the Siverskyi Donets River.

On the Sievierodonetsk front, Russian forces, supported by artillery, are storming Sievierodonetsk, controlling the eastern part of the city. In addition, in order to seize the dominant heights, they are attempting to conduct an offensive towards Nyrkove – Mykolaivka.

On the Avdiivka, Kurakhivka, Novopavlivka and Zaporizhzhia fronts the invaders are firing at the frontline and the Ukrainian forces’ rearguard, holding our units back and preventing them from regrouping.

On the Pivdennyi Buh front, in anticipation of our troops advancing, Russian forces have laid mines along the banks of the Inhulets river.

The Russians deployed two rocket launchers and two barrel artillery batteries on the Mykolayiv front. It also attempted to recover its lost positions towards Sukhyi Stavok and Lozove. They suffered significant losses and retreated.

There are five vessels carrying Kalibr sea-launched cruise missiles ready to use missiles in the Black Sea.

In the past 24 hours, 5 Russian attacks have been repelled on the Donetsk and Luhansk fronts, and 3 tanks, 4 artillery systems, 11 armoured combat vehicles and 26 vehicles were destroyed. Air defence units shot down a Ka-52 attack helicopter and 2 Orlan-10 UAVs.
