Russians trying to regain lost positions in south after offensive by Ukrainian military, says Ukraine's General Staff

In the South Buh area, after suffering losses as a result of offensive actions by Ukrainian units, the enemy took up defenses in unfavorable positions near the village of Kostromka.

The Russian invaders also shelled civilian infrastructure in the areas of the settlements of Lymany, Stepova Dolyna, Luch, Partyzany, Chervoniy Yar, Trudoliubivka, and others.

"In order to make up for the losses, the enemy is reinforcing the group with obsolete weapons and military equipment, in particular, T-62 tanks and BMP-1 infantry fighting vehicles," the report says.

The General Staff added that the enemy had not carried out an active offensive operations in the Kurakhove, Novopavlivka and Zaporizhzhya areas.

Instead, the enemy has been firing on civilian infrastructure along the front line.

The situation in the Bessarabia area has not changed significantly, the General Staff said.
