Rutgers men’s lacrosse mantains ranking following impressive road win

Rutgers men’s lacrosse is on a roll and is still solidly in the top 10 in the rankings. This, as Rutgers gets ready for the Big Ten season.

In both the Inside Lacrosse rankings as well as the USILA rankings, Rutgers checks in at sixth in the polls.

Rutgers put together a thorough and comprehensive performance on Sautrday, an 11-5 win at UMass. They overcame a slow start to the game, going down 3-2 in the first quarter before rattling off five straight goals to take over the game.

Coming into the weekend, UMass was unranked but receiving votes. UMass is now 4-3 on the season.

Rutgers is now 7-1 and has won five straight. Since a 14-13 loss at Army on February 18, Rutgers hasn’t lost.

On Sunday, they open their Big Ten schedule at No. 19 Ohio State. The Buckeyes dropped five spots following a loss to No. 14 Denver.

Ohio State has lost three of their last four games.
