Ruth Bader Ginsburg mural unveiled in New York

This three-story mural of Ruth Bader Ginsburg

was unveiled in New York’s East Village

It was commissioned by advocacy group IntoAction

and L.A-based creative agency TaskForce

(SOUNDBITE) (English) RUTH BADER GINSBURG MURAL AUTHOR, ELLESTREETART, SAYING:

"So the symbolism in the painting is piece by piece laid around the justice. There's a justice flower in the bottom. There's the Brooklyn Bridge, as she hails from Brooklyn. You know, she's got this sort of crown that's made up of all of her different colors that represent her different, you know, stances on what she was taking. // What we see is this incredible woman who had an incredible work ethic and, you know, fought hard for what she believed in and basically showed us that we can do that, you know, all we have to do is work very hard to get wherever we need to be."
