Ruth Langsford has admitted she worries about dementia but doesn't want to take a test to see her chances of getting it because there isn't a cure.
The Loose Women star's dad passed away in 2012 after battling Alzheimer's and her mum also has dementia.
The 63-year-old said she frets when she forgets things, like someone's name or where her glasses are, but tries not to dwell on it.

"You think, 'Oh my God’, so of course I worry, with both parents," she said on the How To Be 60 podcast.
"But I try not to think about it too much, because it’s too depressing."
Langsford, who is married to fellow TV star Eamonn Holmes, went on: "Whenever they have these, you know, 'Oh you can do a test to see if you would be prone to getting Alzheimer’s', I don’t really want to do it, because there’s no cure at the moment.
"If I could do that test and then they said, 'Right, now you know, this is what you do to stop you getting it. You have to take this tablet, you have to do these exercises, you have to eat this or don’t eat that.’
"But there’s nobody can tell you that, so I almost don’t want to know. I don't want to know."
Langsford and Holmes share son Jack, 21, and the TV star told the podcast's host Kaye Adams that she did wonder if she would see him have a family of his own.
"Because I didn't have him until I was 42 and they don't always get married as young now or start families as young so I do," Langsford said.
