Rutherford County, Murfreesboro City school districts announce 2022 summer feeding program

Rutherford County and Murfreesboro City school districts plan to keep local schoolchildren from going hungry this summer through the annual Summer Food Service.

“The school year isn’t the only time children get hungry,” says Sandy Scheele, nutrition supervisor for Murfreesboro City Schools. “The summer food service program allows us to effectively reach our students all year.”

The feeding program schedule runs during June and July and summer food locations will be open Monday through Friday only. Each district has their own distribution locations and times.
