Ryan Reynolds shares new Deadpool 3 photo

Ryan Reynolds has shared a new look at the Deadpool costume for the next sequel.

The actor shared a sneaky peek at himself in the Merc with a Mouth's costume as the final slide of an Instagram year in review gallery — alongside photos with wife Blake Lively, Taylor Swift and even Prince Charles from his personal life.

"Thank you 2023 part 1. In no real order. I got to spend most of the year working and playing with the people," he wrote on his Instagram account.

Filming on Deadpool 3 resumed following the end of the SAG-AFTRA strike in the autumn, with Reynolds subsequently hitting out at leaked photos shot near the movie's set.

"Surprises are part of the magic of theatrical movies," he wrote in Instagram. "It’s important for us to shoot the new DEADPOOL film in real, natural environments, using practical effects as opposed to making the movie indoors and digitally.

"Telephoto lenses continue to spoil surprises and create a difficult situation for everyone."

The upcoming sequel will feature Reynolds reuniting with Hugh Jackman, who is reprising his role as Wolverine for the first time since the X-Men film Logan.

Jennifer Garner is set to reprise her role from the 2003 Daredevil movie as Elektra, in a sign that the movie will combine various Marvel movie universes.

There are even rumours that Taylor Swift could finally be playing Dazzler in the film, after being rumoured for the role in past X-Men movies.

Reynolds addressed the possibility of a Swift appearance, telling The Vancouver Sun: "Yeah, I've heard that one. I love it (the gossip).

"I think it is a sign of how eager people are to get a peek behind the curtain in this world. Every single one of these secrets and spoilers will be revealed on July 26."

Deadpool and Deadpool 2 are streaming on Disney+. Deadpool 3, starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, is in production.
