The next act for Ryan Reynolds will see him take a break.

Reynolds, 44, announced he will hit pause on acting for a little while after wrapping up production for his latest film, “Spirited,” which also stars Will Ferrell and Octavia Spencer.

“Perfect time for a little sabbatical from movie making,” Reynolds wrote in an Instagram post Saturday. “I’m gonna miss every second working with this obscenely gifted group of creators and artists.”

The upcoming movie, which will be released by Apple TV+, is billed as an updated, musical version of “A Christmas Carol.”

“Not sure I’d have been ready to say yes to a film this challenging even three years ago,” Reynolds wrote in his Instagram post. “Singing, dancing and playing in the sandbox with Will Ferrell made a whole lotta dreams come true. And this is my second film with the great @octaviaspencer.”

Reynolds has three kids between the ages of 2 and 6 with wife Blake Lively.

The “Deadpool” actor is in the midst of a busy 2021, having already released the movies “The Hitman’s Bodyguard’s Wife” and “Free Guy.”

Reynolds also stars in the thriller “Red Notice,” which arrives Nov. 12 on Netflix. Gal Gadot and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson also star in the movie.
