The hardest working man in television will now be working a little less.

Ryan Seacrest is departing as host and executive producer of E!’s red carpet show after 14 years on the awards circuit, he announced Thursday.

“After 14 years of hosting E!’s Live from the Red Carpet I’ve decided to move on to new adventures,” the 46-year-old wrote in an Instagram post. “I’ll miss the whole crew that works so hard behind the scenes and of course my amazing partner Giuliana [Rancic].”

Seacrest will still have plenty on his plate, hosting “American Idol” and “On Air with Ryan Seacrest” and co-hosting “Live with Kelly and Ryan” while also producing various projects, including “Keeping up with the Kardashians.”

He was so visibly tired in May 2020 that fans worried for his health. Seacrest took one day off before appearing on “Live” and assuring viewers that he was only exhausted and not suffering severe health problems.

Seacrest’s exit from “Live from the Red Carpet” comes almost three years after a former stylist said Seacrest sexually harassed her in the mid-2000s. The allegations led to calls for Seacrest to leave the program, but he denied them and stuck around.

The first major Seacrest-free red carpet will be at the Golden Globes on Feb. 28.
