Ryan Tannehill, Derrick Henry, Jeffery Simmons absent from Tennessee Titans practice Wednesday

As the Tennessee Titans prepare for their upcoming game against the Houston Texans, a few major injuries still loom large.

The Titans (7-7) host the Texans (1-12-1) from Nissan Stadium on Saturday (noon, CBS) for a Christmas Eve showdown. But many of the Titans' most important contributors are missing from or limited in practice this week, including quarterback Ryan Tannehill, most of the Titans' starting offensive linemen, defensive linemen Jeffery Simmons and Denico Autry and defensive backs Kristian Fulton and Amani Hooker.

Some players, like Autry, linebacker Zach Cunningham, receiver Treylon Burks and cornerback Tre Avery, are progressing toward potential returns after missing significant chunks of time. Others, like Tannehill and center Ben Jones, are returning to the injury report with repeat injuries after a few healthy weeks.

Running back Derrick Henry and Simmons are players who have been listed on the Titans' injury report nearly every week for two months but consistently play through their injuries on game day. Henry's absences are always listed as "non injury related" but Simmons has been gritting through an ankle injury since October.

The Titans placed second-year offensive lineman Dillon Radunz on injured reserve prior to practice Wednesday, ending his season. As an offsetting move the Titans signed quarterback Joshua Dobbs off the Detroit Lions practice squad and added offensive lineman Zack Johnson to the practice squad, the third offensive lineman the Titans have signed to their practice squad this week.
