Rylan Clark has paid homage to Lady Gaga by wearing a suit made from none other than doner kebab meat.

In an advertising campaign for Deliveroo, the TV presenter parodied some memorable awards ceremony looks – including Gaga’s meat dress – and gave them a takeaway twist.

Rylan’s elaborate costumes were to promote the Deliveroo Restaurant Awards, encouraging people to vote for their favourite local restaurants around the UK and Ireland.

He said in the promotional video, posted on Instagram: "Now I’m not sure what I love more, a cheeky takeaway or a cheeky awards ceremony. But it’s a good thing I get to celebrate both, with the Deliveroo Restaurant Awards 2024.

"To really kick things off in style, I am going to be recreating some iconic looks from awards ceremonies gone by – and between you and me, I’ve heard there’s a bit of meat involved."

In the outlandish clip, he also reimagined a statement Rihanna dress as a pizza, and recreated Jennifer Lawrence tripping on the stairs at the Oscars with the help of some burgers and hot dogs.

"Listen," he said in the clip. "If I can put on a meat tuxedo, you can definitely find the time to vote for your favourite restaurant."

While the TV host parodies some famous awards moments, the current awards season is in full swing, with the best of film and TV battling it out for the prizes.

At the most recent Golden Globes, Oppenheimer was the big movie winner, while Barbie missed out on the big awards. Lily Gladstone became the first Indigenous actor to win any award since the Globes began for her performance in Killers of the Flower Moon.

Meanwhile in TV, The Bear cleaned up in the comedy categories, while Succession scooped best drama – with Kieran Culkin, Sarah Snook and Matthew Macfadyen all winning individual awards for their performances in the show.
