Celebrity Gogglebox star Rylan Clark has shared an update on his mum Linda Clark's health following their much-anticipated return to the Channel 4 show.

A fan tweeted the former The X Factor star to enquire about how Linda was doing after they noticed she had a TPN line as the two settled down to share their thoughts on the week's top telly.

"@Rylan is Mum ok? Saw the drip on #Gogglebox," the fan tweeted on July 2.

Thankfully, Rylan confirmed that Linda (who has Crohn's disease) is doing well.

"Had a lot of people ask, mum is fine, she has a tpn line for a feed… to do with her crohns . V normal. Thanks for asking xx," he replied.

Plenty of fans shared their praise after seeing Linda on the show, with one Twitter user writing: "Thank you to @Rylan 's mum for normalising her Crohn's disease treatment on #gogglebox #InvisibleDisabilities."

Others were just happy to see the mother/son duo back on our screens together (and no doubt loved seeing the twosome's interactions surrounding Paddington last month), as another person tweeted: "@Rylan and his mum on #Gogglebox are everything."

Linda's triumphant return to Celebrity Gogglebox came after Rylan shared in March 2020 that it was the only project she felt well enough to do with him. "We've been offered hundreds of things. We got asked to do a travel show and the chance to go here and go there. It would be hilarious, but she's just not well enough to do it," he told Daily Star at the time.

"Gogglebox is enough for us. She feels comfortable doing that show because we're just sat in my kitchen. It's the only thing we can do together."

Celebrity Gogglebox airs on Friday nights at 9pm on Channel 4.
