Saba-Maguire is Dartmouth's new superintendent of schools. Here's what she's getting paid

DARTMOUTH — It's official: Dartmouth Public Schools has a new permanent superintendent.

On Thursday, school officials announced they came to an agreement with current Brockton Public Schools Assistant Superintendent Dr. June Saba-Maguire, who accepted the job offer from Dartmouth in late March.

"This morning Kathleen Amaral, school committee chair and Dr. Saba-Mcguire signed a contract and made it official," officials wrote in a press release.

According to School Committee Vice Chair Chris Oliver, the contract is for three years, with a starting salary of $200,000.

Saba-Maguire was selected out of four initial finalists back on March 27, in a superintendent search that started back in December. She had also been a recent finalist in superintendent searches in Hudson, Dedham and Bedford school districts.

Dr. Bonny Gifford retired as superintendent of Dartmouth Public Schools at the start of March after 8 years leading the district. Assistant Superintendent of Finance and Operations James Kiely has served as interim superintendent since then, and is set to continue through the end of the school year.
