BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Sabres forward Jeff Skinner left Monday’s practice early and underwent imaging on a potential injury before the team’s road trip to Florida this week, the team announced.

“We are gonna get some imaging on him right now to find out and make certain that everything is okay. We obviously have to do that before we fly out, so we figured we’d do that based on how he felt this morning, so we’ll know more on that in a couple hours,” Sabres head coach Don Granato said.

Skinner logged 18:35 on the ice, scoring his 19th goal of the season in the team’s 3-2 shootout victory over the Carolina Hurricanes on Sunday.

Skinner has already missed time this season, sitting out six games in January due to an upper-body injury.

The Sabres recalled forward Tyson Jost from Rochester earlier on Monday. Jost has appeared in 29 games for the Sabres this season, posting two points (1G,1A).
