Sac refugee facing deportation testifies in his case

For the very first time we’re hearing from Omar Ameen, the Sacramento refugee fighting to stay in the United States. “Concerned” and “worried,” were some of the first words KCRA 3 heard from Ameen’s testimony while speaking through an Arabic translator Wednesday afternoon. Ameen was arrested in 2018 for the murder of an Iraqi Police Officer and was later cleared of those charges earlier this year. Now Ameen is accused of lying on his refugee application to gain entry into the U.S.
