  1. LI couple charged with harassment after LIRR incident: MTA. A Ronkonkoma man and Huntington Woman have turned themselves in after an incident on the LIRR. Justin Likerman, 37, of Ronkonkoma and Kristin Digesaro, 39, of Huntington have been charged with second-degree aggravated harassment and endangering the welfare of a child, both misdemeanors, in collaboration with the Manhattan District Attorney's office and the Hate Crimes Unit, the agency said. In a video posted to Twitter, a man could be heard telling someone, "Don't f---ing look at me," and "I'm going to get arrested tonight." Then someone told him it was not worth getting arrested over, and he replied, "I know it's not worth it, but these f---ing foreigners ain't taking over my f---ing country." (Sachem Patch)

  2. Winter weather advisory issued for Long Island. Early morning rain hit the area for your work commute, which will change over to snow until about 1 p.m. The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for all of Long Island, as small accumulations of up to 3' in localized areas are expected.   3. Latest: Check hospital capacity in Sachem area. As the Omicron variant continues to slow rapidly across New York State and parts of the country, we have all the numbers for you on hospital capacity. Many still struggling areas and healthcare systems are overwhelmed with COVID-19, with national hospitalizations at their highest level ever. On a national average, about 79% of inpatient beds were occupied, and at Stony Brook University Hospital over 89% are occupied. This includes about 36% being COVID-19 patients. Nationally, around 158,800 inpatient beds are in use as of Jan. 19, according to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. (Sachem Patch)
