(FOX40.COM) — California voters will head to the polls on March 5 for the 2024 primary election.
In addition to the presidential race, there are plenty of other races and measures on the ballot across the state.
In the Sacramento area, there are nine key races of particular concern to residents.
Proposition 1
According to the Associated Press, Prop 1 would “allow the state to borrow $6.38 billion for 11,150 new treatment beds, housing and 26,700 outpatient treatment slots to serve up to 100,000 people a year.” The measure also changes how counties pay for mental health services.
U.S. Senate Race
Before her death in September, Dianne Feinstein had already announced early last year that she would not run for reelection.
Sen. Laphonza Butler, appointed by Gov. Gavin Newsom to fill her seat, said in October that she would not seek a full term.
