Sacramento coffee shop opens with a luxurious flagship location, sandwiches and more

World Traveler Coffee Roasters opened its newest coffee shop in downtown Sacramento this week. Here, coffee and luxury are a two-for-one deal.

The Sacramento-area coffee company’s flagship store opened Wednesday at 500 J St., in Downtown Commons, near the Golden 1 Center. The more than 1,000-square-foot space is decked out with plush velvet seating, high ceilings and gold accents.

This is the sixth location in the region; with shops in midtown, Roseville, Folsom, El Dorado Hills and Gold River.

A flagship store is typically the most notable in the chain with the highest sales and “best design execution,” Indeed wrote on its website.

World Traveler will compete with its new neighbor Estelle Bakery & Patisserie, as both shops serve coffee and sweet bites.

Business owner Yaniv Rosenberg said both establishments can flourish, The Sacramento Bee previously reported. He said his company is unique in that it roasts its own coffee beans.

Representatives of the coffee shop were not available for comment for this story.

“Driven by an unwavering commitment to quality, craftsmanship, hospitality, and community, we aspire to redefine the coffee experience,” said World Traveler Coffee owners Rosenberg and Linoy Nesher in a news release. “Through our presence at DOCO, we aim to contribute to the rich tapestry of this community and establish ourselves as a beacon of quality and distinction in the world of coffee.”

Fresh coffee is a guarantee, roasted weekly from around the world to ensure “the best cup” of joe, the five-year-old coffee roasting company wrote on its website.

The online menu includes a variety of coffee options, lemonade as well as tea and blended drinks. The downtown store will also serve salads, sandwiches and baked goods, Doco states.

Those who want their coffee in bulk can choose from selections ranging from $16.99 to $22. Whether you’re looking for a balanced, sweet or spiced caffeine — you’ll find it.

Tea lovers also have options: Raspberry green, hibiscus, chamomile, black and more.

This is the third coffee shop to open on Sacramento’s grid — which includes downtown and midtown — this week. Others include: Milka’s new location in the Ice Blocks and Tupi Coffee on Eighth Street.
