Sacramento County API leaders respond after health official uses racist term

Leaders in Sacramento County's Asian Pacific Islander community responded Wednesday to racist remarks made by the county's top public health official. The term has been used to dehumanize East Asian people, and his use of the word angered many. The remark was made during a board of supervisors meeting, where Beilenson was speaking in favor of a resolution to declare racism a public health crisis in Sacramento County.
