Sacramento County falls short of moving into less restrictive COVID-19 tier

Sacramento County does not expect to move to a less restrictive COVID-19 tier this week, despite public officials' "Turn Sacramento Orange" by Halloween campaign. The state releases tier changes every Tuesday, but counties receive advance notice in the event they need to prepare, Sacramento County Public Health Officer Dr. Olivia Kasirye said. Last week, Sacramento’s new case rate was at 4.4 per 100,000 residents. The county needed to get below four to qualify. The positivity rate has also plateaued. Get the full story in the video above.
