This Sacramento craft brewery will open a third location: ‘2024 is going to be nuts!’

A West Sacramento-based brewing company that loves dogs as much as beer has its eyes (and snouts) set on a third location.

In a newsletter to subscribers this week, Bike Dog Brewing Co. announced a new site in East Sacramento is in the works but was tight-lipped about where it will be. The new location will be announced sometime this week, the company stated.

Bike Dog will plant roots in a neighborhood with its fair share of breweries including Porchlight Brewing Company, SacYard Community Tap House and Leftys Taproom.

As of Wednesday morning, Bike Dog representatives were not available to comment on the expansion.

“To say we are excited for the future is an understatement,” the brewing company wrote, adding “2024 is going to be nuts!”

The newest endeavor comes roughly one month after the beer company opened a kitchen inside its Land Park location at 915 Broadway, Suite 200.

The Land Park site, which debuted in 2017, now sells sandwiches, salads and small bites alongside its beer.

The original brick-and-mortar opened a decade ago at 2568 Industrial Blvd., Suite 110, in West Sacramento.

The company was founded by Peter Atwood, Raef Porter, Sage Smith and Andrew Tendick.

Tendick is no longer an owner.

New IPA release party in West Sacramento

Apart from Bike Dog announcing its newest endeavor to its newsletter followers, it is business as usual for the West Sacramento brewing company.

In collaboration with the Sacramento Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, Bike Dog is set to release its Forever Home IPA series this weekend with a DJ, animal vendors and food trucks.

In its second year, the brewing company donated $2,500 to Sacramento SPCA, according to a Feb. 17 Facebook post.

Each can of beer will feature a different Sacramento SPCA alumnus, including dogs Jack, Roxie and Billy.

The “Forever Home” IPA release party is from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday at Bike Dog’s West Sacramento location.
