Sacramento Firefighters to the Rescue After Flying Santa Gets Tangled in Power Lines

Firefighters in Sacramento, California, rescued a man dressed as Santa after his powered parachute got tangled in some power lines while he was delivering candy on Sunday, December 20.

Firefighters responded to 7th Avenue and M Street in the Sacramento suburb of Rio Linda, where they found the man, the vehicle and its parachute tangled in the power lines.

Around 200 homes lost electricity for a period as municipal workers cut power to the lines during the rescue.

Firefighters used a crane to untangle the man and lower him to the street.
