Sacramento Republic FC return home after beating LA Galaxy

In what was one of the biggest games in the franchise's history, the Sacramento Republic FC team beat the Los Angeles Galaxy in a 2-1 match Tuesday night. With this win, Sac Republic, a United Soccer Leagues team, moves on to the semifinals for the U.S. Open Cup, making it the first time in the team's history. Major League Soccer teams such as LA Galaxy tend to advance this far more often than USL teams. The two teams faced off for the quarterfinal match in Southern California. Players Rodrigo Lopez and Luis Felipe Fernandes scored the team's two goals in the fourth and 70th minutes of the game.
