Sacramento River Cats announce game-day promotions for 2024 season
(FOX40.COM) — With a few months away from Opening Day, the Sacramento River Cats announced their game-day promotions throughout the 2024 season.
The full 75-game home schedule includes a total of 27 fireworks nights, over 20 theme nights, six giveaways and weekly promotions.
Fan-favorite theme nights returning in 2024 including Salute to Armed Forces Night, First Responders Night, Princess and Pirates Night.
Other theme nights include Luau Night, Dino Night, Wild West Night, Harry Potter Night (formerly known as Wizarding Night). Players will wear specialty jerseys throughout the season that will be auctioned for purchase.

For four games, the River Cats will play as the Dorados de Sacramento as part of Minor League Baseball’s 2024 Copa de la Diversion, which celebrates the sport’s Hispanic/Latino fan base.
The team will donned the Dorados uniforms on April 9, May 5, Aug. 29 and Sept. 17. Tacos will be $2 for Dorados games, according to the team.

As for weekly promotions, Tuesday home games will be known as “Toyota Family Value Tuesdays” with hot dogs and ice cream sold for $2. “Wet Nose Wednesdays” return, meaning fans can bring their dogs and watch from the lawn seats.
Thursday home games will have the “Thirsty Thursday” designation for happy hour and live music in Elysian Landing near section 111 from 5-6 p.m.
Fireworks shows will take place after home games on Fridays and Saturdays including a Fourth of July celebration the day before Independence Day. The River Cats’ annual Fourth of July fireworks show will take place on July 3 when the team host the Reno Aces on July 3 at 7:05 p.m.
Games on Sundays will be known as “Sunday Funday”, which will allow kids to grab pregame autographs and run the bases for free if they stay to the end.

The team will have six giveaways during select Friday nights during the season for the first 2,500 fans in attendance. Four of the giveaways items were announced by the team.

•Friday, May 17 vs. Oklahoma City — Patrick Bailey Bobblehead
•Friday, June 21 vs. Round Rock — 2000s replica jersey
•Friday, July vs. Albuquerque — Dinger coffee mug
•Friday, Aug. 16 vs. Salt Lake — San Francisco Giants themed item to be announced
•Friday, Sept. 20 vs. Sugar Land — River Cats specialty item to be announced
