Sacred Heart man injured in Thursday morning crash near Granite Falls

Jun. 4—GRANITE FALLS — A 57-year-old man was injured Thursday morning in a two-vehicle crash east of Granite Falls, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

According to the crash report, James Steven Baker, of Sacred Heart, suffered non-life-threatening injuries after his 2012 Chevrolet Silverado hit a 2022 Freightliner semi-tractor, driven by Corey Dwight Wendlandt, 49, of Farmington, on state Highway 23 in Wang Township of Renville County and spun out, hitting another semitractor, driven by Lafayette E. Ward, 56, of Chicago Heights, Illinois.

Baker and Wendlandt were both northbound on Highway 23, and Ward was southbound.

Baker was transported to Avera Granite Falls Health Center.
