SailPoint Technologies: 4Q Earnings Snapshot

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) _ SailPoint Technologies Holdings Inc. (SAIL) on Thursday reported a fourth-quarter loss of $4.7 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.

The Austin, Texas-based company said it had a loss of 5 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 10 cents per share.

The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of seven analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 1 cent per share.

The identity governance software developer posted revenue of $103.3 million in the period, also exceeding Street forecasts. Five analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $94.7 million.

For the year, the company reported that its loss widened to $10.8 million, or 12 cents per share. Revenue was reported as $365.3 million.

For the current quarter ending in April, SailPoint Technologies expects its per-share loss to be 1 cent.

The company said it expects revenue in the range of $90.5 million to $92 million for the fiscal first quarter.

SailPoint Technologies expects full-year results to range from a loss of 10 cents per share to a loss of 1 cent per share, with revenue ranging from $404 million to $412 million.

SailPoint Technologies shares have climbed 6% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $56.50, more than doubling in the last 12 months.
