To be frank, any accessory that’s been worn by the likes of Zoë Kravitz, Hailey Bieber, Miley Cyrus, and Sydney Sweeney doesn’t require any further convincing. Their endorsements alone are enough to give said item top billing on my wish list. This season, that item is the Icare maxi shopping bag by Saint Laurent, which has also not-so-coincidentally been spotted on the arms of Laura Harrier and Gracie Abrams.

The tote is indeed maxi—spacious enough for all the usual handbag suspects with room to spare. And it’s debuting just in time, as this summer marks the first season where people can really go out again. Offices are open. Parties have been planned and invitations sent. Summer travel is heating up. We might not know where we’re going, but we! are! going! simply because, after two long years, we finally can. But one small thing seems to have been forgotten by all in the pandemic haze: actually going places and doing things means carrying a ton of stuff around. It might be a hassle to haul your gym, office, and happy hour necessities all over town, but you can at least feel good about the bag you choose to do so. If there’s one bag that’s going to hold it all and look fabulous while doing it, the Icare is your best bet.

Made in Italy with quilted lambskin, the shopper tote can be worn with the sides open wide or closed in for a more tapered look. Of course, the star of the show is the iconic YSL emblem fastened to its face. The bag features bronze-toned hardware, a toggle closure, one main compartment, and one removable zippered pouch. The best part? It’s available to shop now, in stores and on YSL.com, so you can get ahead of the trend. Thank us later.
