Salisbury Fire Department rescues motorist who drove into pond

Salisbury Fire Department units were alerted Friday afternoon for a vehicle into the pond at 106 Milford St. just after 1 p.m.

Crews arrived to find a vehicle that had struck the building, a parked car, and then drove into the retention pond. Personnel quickly made entry into the pond and over to the car.

The elderly patient was removed from the vehicle and transported to TidalHealth for evaluation. The Salisbury Police Department and the city building inspector were also on the scene.
