Saluting the class of 2023: Tuscaloosa high schools hold graduation ceremonies

Hundreds of students became high school graduates this month as commencement ceremonies were held at Tuscaloosa's city, county and private schools.

American Christian Academy held the area's first high school graduation ceremony for the class of 2023 on May 14, while North River Christian will conduct the last ceremony on June 1.

Brookwood High School presented 219 diplomas Thursday evening at the school's football field. The Tuscaloosa County School System and Tuscaloosa City Schools held high school graduation ceremonies last week.

Hillcrest High, Tuscaloosa County High School and American Christian Academy held their ceremonies last week at the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater, along with the three high schools in the Tuscaloosa City Schools system, Paul W. Bryant High, Central High and Northridge High.

Holt High School held graduation at Church of the Highlands,

All the rest of the schools in Tuscaloosa held on-campus graduation ceremonies:  Sipsey Valley High, Brookwood High, Northside High, Holy Spirit Catholic School, Tuscaloosa Christian, Tuscaloosa Academy and North River Christian.
