Salvation Army to kick off Red Kettle Campaign

Oct. 24—LIMA — The Lima Salvation Army will begin its Red Kettle Campaign on Nov. 6.

Chief, Kewpee and Hobby Lobby locations around the area will participate along with Walmart and Sam's Club, which will not start until Nov. 18.

The Salvation Army says that its goal for the year is raising $130,000 to support its mission throughout the year.

Anyone interested in volunteering to ring the bell from Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. through Dec. 23 can schedule a time and location by calling Paul Downing at 419-224-9055.

The National Red Kettle Campaign Kick-off will be celebrated Thanksgiving Day at halftime of the Dallas Cowboys game at AT&T Stadium, Nov. 23.
