Salvation Army Table of Hope banquet: Attendees help raise money for homeless population

May 14—The Salvation Army of Aiken held its signature fundraiser, the Table of Hope banquet, on Friday, April 29, at the Big Red Barn on Chime Bell Church Road. Attendees enjoyed a prime rib dinner and entertainment by artist Brent Lundy.

The guest speaker was R.J. Bendez, a combat Marine Corps veterans. Bednez wrote "The Invisible Veteran" after spending two years photographing and speaking with homeless veterans.
