Sam Adams Beer Garden open this weekend at the Big E

Aug. 25—WEST SPRINGFIELD — The Sam Adams Beer Garden on the grounds of the Big E is open Friday and Saturday from 4:30 to 9 p.m.

Guests can sip their favorite on-tap brews, listen to live music, and taste new menu items such as:

—A shareable appetizer, the new Picnic Board's guacamole, hummus, veggies, cheese, crackers, and pepperoni platter.

—On a light and fresh note, the Palm Springs Salad. Served with a lemon vinaigrette, these local greens are topped with sweet berries, cucumber, dates, edamame, and an assortment of toasted nuts.

—Revving the temperature up a notch is the new Pep with Sweet Heat pizza, a hot honey spin on the classic pepperoni. Also spicing up the garden's homemade dough is the General Tso's Chicken pizza that covers mozzarella, crispy chicken, and local scallions in General Tso's sauce.

—Those who have a sweet tooth to satisfy can't go wrong with a S'mores Pie. A sweet crust smothered in chocolate, marshmallows, peanut butter, and crushed graham crackers is the perfect way to fulfill your dessert desires.

Live music this weekend will be provided Friday by the Piper-Hawkins band and on Saturday by Kevin Crane & Lincoln Huble. The music runs from 5:30-8:30 p.m.

The Big E is at 1305 Memorial Ave.
