The Duchess of Cambridge may steer clear of fashion shows and other such events, but Samantha Cameron is all for taking in a new season collection and getting snapped sitting on the FROW.

The Prime Minister’s wife put in an appearance at the Christopher Kane show at London Fashion Week this afternoon – and looked thrilled to be there.

Despite the dreary weather, Cameron looked set for spring in a bright and bold floral dress from British designer Mary Katratzou. She left her brunette locks loose and accessorised with simple gold accessories.

The mum was reportedly at the Burberry show earlier in the day too, but no photos of her there have been released yet.

It’s not all that strange that the 44-year-old would be seen at Fashion Week. After all, she’s worked in the fashion industry herself as the creative director at Smythson and is an ambassador of the British Fashion Council. She’s known for her own good taste in fashion, tastefully mixing a blend of high street buys with designer labels – much like the Duchess of Cambridge.

Last year, Cameron even risked picking out a bag for a virtual stranger - which we all know is a challenge. During the first lady of China’s visit to London last year, she bought Peng Liyuan a £550 luxe handbag.

The charcoal Albion handbag, featuring gold-toned plates, may not hail from a iconic British label such as Burberry or Mulberry, but the design is already growing in popularity and has been snapped on the arms of fashion-forward celebs including Emma Watson and Carey Mulligan.

No doubt, the brand will now be given a boost on an international level after being spotted on the arm of China’s first lady.
