In the world of headphones, true wireless earbuds are where it's at. While most will cost you a pretty penny, Samsung's Galaxy Buds+ are a top-notch option in this realm, ranking as our best-valued pick for headphones in 2021—and they're currently being offered at a pretty great discount.

On sale for $109.99 from their normal $149.99, you can get them for even less with an eligible trade-in of wired or wireless headphones in exchange for a $20 credit to drop the price down to $89.99.

Like most wireless earbuds, these buds connect seamlessly and wirelessly to your smartphone, so you can pop them into your ears to listen to music, podcasts or other audio, completely free of wires. They also offer premium sound via technology from AKG—a professional acoustics company that makes and engineers high-quality audio equipment in the professional space.

The result is good sound with crisp and high notes, deep bass and overall full-body that's achieved through a woofer and tweeter in each bud. In fact, we think these may be an even better choice than the classic Apple AirPods ($128.98) thanks to the minimalist, intuitive Samsung Wearables app and long battery life (roughly eight to 10 hours or up to 22 hours with the charging case). With wireless powershare, you can also place the buds atop a compatible Samsung Galaxy device, like the new Galaxy Note20, to recharge them.

These buds are well worth the spend—especially at this price point.

The advanced technology in the Galaxy Buds+ doesn't stop there, however: They have one internal and two external mics to better pick up your voice and isolate it from outside sounds. That means you can talk in even the noisiest of locations, be it a busy subway station, street or a crowded mall. Using the ambient aware mode, you can also let in outside sounds as needed (like when an announcement is coming through the PA, someone is trying to talk to you or you reach a crosswalk and want to hear traffic).

The Buds+ are also compatible with voice-controlled virtual assistants, including Bixby (Samsung's own virtual assistant) and Alexa. Alternatively, you can control playback through taps and custom shortcuts (tap once, for example, to pause the music).

They're IPX2 splash-resistant and compatible with both Android and iOS devices, though you'll want to note that our tester found they didn't work quite as well for non-Samsung users. They come with three pairs of eartips and wing tips to ensure a secure fit in any sized ear, and we found them comfortable enough for daily wear.

Keep in mind that these don't work with older model phones, so if you have been hanging onto your Galaxy smartphone from a decade ago, you'll want to double-check compatibility before taking the plunge.

Otherwise, you'll want to jump on this deal—while you still can!
