San Antonio International Airport to offer non-stop flights to Frankfurt, Germany in May

If you’re planning a trip to Europe in 2024, the logistics might have just gotten a little easier.

On Thursday, the San Antonio International Airport announced its plans to introduce nonstop flights to Frankfurt Airport in Germany starting in May.

The trips will be offered through Condor Airlines, a German company, according to a news release.

“This a spectacular win for San Antonio,” San Antonio Mayor Ron Nirenberg said, according to the release. “This is the first time people in San Antonio will be able to fly from SAT to Europe nonstop and vice-versa.”

Frankfurt is a major travel hub connecting several destinations across Europe, Africa, India and the Middle East, according to the release. Nirenberg estimated the flight will bring $34 million to the San Antonio region.
