AUSTIN (KXAN) — The San Antonio Zoo turned “Savage” this week by taking sides in the feud between rappers Megan Thee Stallion and Nicki Minaj.

The zoo on Wednesday fired off a now-viral post on X, tagging both artists and promoting its annual Valentine’s fundraiser where folks can symbolically name a roach, rat or veggie after an ex and have it fed to a zoo animal.

To no one’s surprise, the Texas zoo sided with Texas native Megan.

“Hey @theestallion, Let us know if you want to name a roach, rat or lettuce after someone you’re beefing with and have it eaten by an animal at the zoo on Valentine’s Day!” the post read.

Adding fuel to the fire, the zoo proceeded to hashtag #DontMessWithTexas and tag Minaj in the post.

This comes after Megan dropped a new track called “HISS” on Jan. 26, which includes a line that mentions Megan’s Law. It’s the federal law that requires law enforcement to make information on registered sex offenders public.

While no names were mentioned, the internet speculated the line was a reference to Minaj’s husband, Kenneth Petty, who is a registered sex offender.

Since then, Minaj has blasted off numerous posts on social media about Megan and released her own song called “Big Foot” in response.

Let’s hope the San Antonio Zoo doesn’t experience “Roman’s Revenge” any time soon.

Cry Me a Cockroach Fundraiser

There’s still time to participate in the San Antonio Zoo’s fundraiser. For $5, $10, or $25 you can “name a roach, rat, or veggie after your ex or not-so-special someone and San Antonio Zoo will help squash your past… by feeding your selection to an animal resident.”

You’ll also receive a digital downloadable Valentine’s Day Card showing your support for the fundraiser.

You can read more information about the event on the zoo’s website.
